Fall is fast approaching, and many brides and grooms haven't been able to find the perfect burgundy or tan ensemble for their wedding. We've had a TON of couples looking for one (or both!) of these options in the last couple weeks so we wanted to share our selection and wisdom with you in hopes that it may help.
Burgundy aka Wine, Marsala, Aubergine
This popular color has a dozen different shades and names but most retailers aren't carrying many (if any) options in terms of burgundy jackets or pants. The picture below shows the 3 main variations when looking at burgundy menswear.
By far the most popular of the burgundy styles is the burgundy with black satin lapels. You can see this on the photo on the right and left. Both are considered tuxedos due to the satin. Either option can be worn with black pants. The left image is a velvet burgundy jacket (no matching pants). The tuxedo on the left is made by Ike Behar and is made of a super 120s wool-- it's very breathable and lightweight. These are available with both matching pants and vest.
If you don't want any black on the jacket or pants, you will want to opt for a burgundy suit (no satin) as shown in the center picture. To completely eliminate black from the styling, pair with a neutral color tie and pocket square. The burgundy suits are available for purchase or can be custom-made exactly for you!

Tan Tuxedos and Suits
Tan is also available in a surprising number of options as well. If you're looking for tan keep in mind there are cool color tans and warm color tans. Find the one that best matches your event. The most popular warm color tan rental suit is featured below from a past wedding.
It's the Tan Havana Suit by Lord West.
In rental suits, the cool color option for tan menswear is the Tan Bartlett Tuxedo by Allure Men. This slim-fit tuxedo is perfect for casual and formal occasions. Don't fret, there is no satin on this tuxedo, just beautiful piping and covered buttons!
