Your Personal Tuxedo Guide

Congratulations! You are getting married! Once the initial joy dissipates, the reality of what it takes to plan a wedding will sink in. From the gowns, to the venue, choosing the right caterer, to finding a date that work with everyone in the family. Let’s face it, a wedding is centered around the bride. I tell all of my grooms “You are just an accessory!” Most women have been thinking about the day they will get married since they were as young as 6 years old playing with their Barbies. Men usually think about getting married around the time they start shopping for an engagement ring. So it is not surprising that most brides don’t leave arranging for the tuxedos up to their grooms. Coordinating the tuxedos to be a complimentary look with the gowns is essential to achieving the “look” that these women have been envisioning since they were playing dolls as children.

Choosing tuxedos for your wedding can be a daunting task though. With all the different styles of tuxedos; different fabrics, pant styles, colors of vests; and everything else it can be overwhelming. My name is Larry Kessler, and I am the managing partner of Celebrity Tux and Tails in Phoenix, Arizona. With 25 years of experience in the formalwear industry, I can help choose the tuxedos that will best compliment the ceremony, the time of day, the location, the color theme, and even the cut of the bride’s gown and bridesmaids’ dresses. What I would like to do thru this blog is to help make choosing the right tuxedo for a wedding simple and easy. Working with people at special times in their lives like when they get married is a privilege and should not be viewed as a chore. I get so much satisfaction out of helping a couple choose tuxedos that make the men in their party look famous!

Over the past decade in the tuxedo industry, the prices have skyrocketed and the service has declined. It is easy to say, “You’re going to like the way you look, I guarantee it!”, and when they don’t like the way they look, all they get is their money back.  But you can’t give them the occasion back. Why not make sure it is perfect on the day they need and not worry about having to give a refund?

Hopefully this blog will help take some of the confusion out of choosing tuxedos for your wedding. I look forward to sharing my experience and insight with you.

Choosing the Different Cuts of Jackets

Fit of the Jacket     Over the years, tuxedo styles have changed. With those changes the way the jacket fits has also changed. Today more than ever, you must consider the way the fit will affect the way you feel in the tuxedo. Here are the three different types of fit available in todays tuxedos: Classic Fit -Classic is the term designated for the least trim of the three fits. It is also the most traditional and will look good on men of all sizes and shapes. This tuxedo typically comes with matching double pleated pants adding to the fuller look. While it will feel comfortable, it will tend to have a more boxy look. Modern Fit - Modern refers to an updated fit that is designated to look and feel more trim than the Classic fit garments. This fit shapes the outline of the body better without any pulling or stretching of the material. These styles will typically come with matching non-pleated pants that add to the slimmer look. This fit will look good on most physiq...

Father of Bride Tuxedo Rental | Suit Rental Phoenix Scottsdale Metro Area

Distinguishing The Father of The Bride With A Tuxedo Rental | Suit Rental   Dressing the escort or father of the bride is an important aspect to the wedding attire. After all, they will be the first person that your guests will see the bride with and should be dressed similarly to the wedding party. This topic my be a little biased for me. I am a father of 3 beautiful young ladies and I look forward to the day I am able to walk them down the aisle. I am always amazed when a bride has not given thought to what the person giving her away will wear. A lot of brides will have their fathers dressed in tuxedos or suits that are the same as the wedding party and use their accessories to really highlight them as a special person in the party. Neutral colors like black and grey are always a great choice because no matter who he might be taking pictures with his accessories will complement any colors in that photo. It also will work as a way to make him different than everyone ...
