Distinguishing The Father of The Bride With A Tuxedo Rental | Suit Rental
Dressing the escort or father of the bride is an important aspect to the wedding attire. After all, they will be the first person that your guests will see the bride with and should be dressed similarly to the wedding party. This topic my be a little biased for me. I am a father of 3 beautiful young ladies and I look forward to the day I am able to walk them down the aisle. I am always amazed when a bride has not given thought to what the person giving her away will wear.
A lot of brides will have their fathers dressed in tuxedos or suits that are the same as the wedding party and use their accessories to really highlight them as a special person in the party. Neutral colors like black and grey are always a great choice because no matter who he might be taking pictures with his accessories will complement any colors in that photo. It also will work as a way to make him different than everyone else.
Some brides will coordinate him to the colors of the bride and groom, a great way to do that is have him wear the same color vest as the groom and change the color of the tie. This will allow his attire to compliment the color of the brides gown as he gives her away, and different color tie will allow him to be different than the groom.
While we are on the subject of the groom, a lot of grooms will have their father dressed similarly to the bride's father. This is a great way to include the groom's father in the ceremony even though he won't be actively participating. Plus when taking the pictures, it assures that he isn't the only one not dressed in formalwear and makes for great photo opportunities!
If you have seen the movie "Father of the Bride", you can understand how a father can feel a great loss when watching his little girl get married. Dress him to the nines and make sure at least he looks great!
